Dear Delegates, Managers, Players, and Fans

We are closing in on the final weeks before the Biggest GSWS ever

The Columbus Committee is excited to welcome you to our city and we have a long list of events lined up for you and your players.  We wanted to highlight these events so that you can plan ahead by purchasing tickets online or registering to participate in the events.   Please pass this information on to all of your players.

Tickets are now available for purchase for the following events:

 Night Out at the Ballpark – Tuesday, Aug. 17 at 7:05p – Huntington Park: 
      Join us at our new ball stadium that has been a national winner of 3 ballpark of the year awards.  
       It is City Barbecue BUCK-A-BONE night, there is a pre-game concert by Jonalee White, and Justin Utley will sing the national anthem.  
      Cost is $10 per ticket and we have 1,100 tickets available now for purchase online.

GSWS Talent Show – Wednesday, Aug. 18 at 8:00p – Renaissance Hotel: 
       Individuals can sign-up to participate in the talent show during player registration Sat-Mon. Cost is $5 per ticket.

Miss GSWS Pageant  - Sunday, Aug. 15 at 8:00p – Axis Nightclub: 
      We would like a contestant from each NAGAAA city to participate in this “camp” drag pageant.

Home Run Derby and Longest Hit – Thursday, Aug. 19 after last scheduled game ends – Berliner Park:  
      We will have a Home Run Derby for the A, B and C divisions and a Longest Hit Competition for the D division.  
      Space is limited for each division.

Legends Game – Saturday, Aug. 21 during the final championship game (~3:00p) – Berliner Park:  
       Individuals who are members of their city Hall of Fame, NAGAAA Hall of Fame, or over 50 years of age are eligible to participate.

You’ll also not want to miss this other events scheduled for the week of the series:

Opening Ceremonies – Monday, Aug. 16 at 5p – Genoa Park:
          Featuring lots of entertainment including local performers, Members from the cast of Wicked, Justin Utley, and Inaya Day.

Barefoot Beach Party – Thursday, Aug. 19 at 3p-8p – Renaissance Pool Deck:  
          Barefoot wine sampling, boys in swimsuits by the pool, a swimwear fashion show by Torso and live DJ on the pool deck (space is limited – players only).

Sliver Bullet Bash– Friday, Aug. 20 at 3p-8p – Renaissance Pool Deck:  
      Coors Light is sponsoring a party on the pool deck featuring a live DJ.
          Plus a special appearance by Sirius/XM OutQ’s Derek & Romaine (space is limited – players only).

Awards Ceremony – Saturday, Aug. 21 at 6p (or when all games are finished) – Berliner Park:  
      Get your fill of Schmidt's Sausage Haus und Restaurant food and congratulate the champions. 
      Plus see if your team has won any special team awards.

Grand Slam Sponsor Block Party – Saturday, Aug. 21 at 8p – Short North Arts District:  
      The streets will be closed and there will be a long line-up of entertainment, food, drinks and other vendors to celebrate the end of a BIG week.

Close out the week with a late night dance party with DJs Alyson Calagna and Josh Karmin at the LC. For more information click HEREPlease note this is not an official event of the World Series Host Committee. A private organizer has sponsored the World Series to promote their event. It will be a fun option for those interested in dancing the night away.
